Ambassador Arun Goel visited the Vučedol culture museum on the 3rd of April, 2025. The Ambassador was exploring connections between the ancient Vučedol Culture and Indus Valley Civilization through shared advancements in metallurgy, astronomy, and pottery. Discussions highlighted cultural parallels from the Orion calendar to early script development.
During his working visit to Vukovar on the 2nd of April, Ambassador Arun Goel also visited the Vukovar Water Tower, a symbol of Croatian unity that has recently become a valued member of the World Federation of Great Towers and explored Kopački rit Nature Park, one of the largest natural wetlands in Europe.
The Mayor of the City of Vukovar Mr. Ivan Penava, and the Head of the Administrative Department for General Affairs, Mrs. Sanja Tokić, received Ambassador Arun on an inaugural visit to the City of Vukovar on the 2nd of April.
Ambassador Arun Goel visited Osijek on the 1st April, where he met with the Deputy Mayor of Osijek, Dragan Vulin, who, among other things, introduced the ambassador to Osijek's development projects and good economic indicators. Ambassador Goel was particularly interested in reconstructing the city after the Homeland War, developing the IT industry, and exploring the potential of the Nemetin zone. They also discussed significant private investments in Osijek, such as the companies Jabil and IMS Gear.
29th March - The Ambassador of India to Croatia Arun Goel visited the India stall at the Place2Go Fair in Zagreb, engaging in discussions with key stakeholders in the tourism sector and the Croatian representative of Patanjali. The conversations focused on promoting India as a travel destination and strengthening tourism ties between India and Croatia. The Mayor of the City ofZagreb, Tomislav Tomašević accompanied by the Director of Zagreb Fair Renata Suša, also visited the India stall, exploring India’s rich tourism opportunities. He enjoyed authentic Indian tea and learned about the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda, two integral aspects of Indian culture and wellness traditions.
Ambassador Arun Goel visited DOK-ING headquarters on the 24th of March and met with company representatives, who introduced him to the company's work and its connections to India. DOK-ING, a Croatian company established in 1992, specializes in unmanned multi-purpose vehicles, electric vehicles, and robotic systems. Headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, it also has offices in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia.

FREE LECTURE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE EMBASSY OF INDIA
Ambassador Arun Goel and Mrs. Pallavi Kararha, Second Secretary (Commercial & Consular), were received at the Croatian Dragon Brothers Society premises by Prof. Dr. Mislav Grgić, Grand Master of the Society, Mr. Drazen Vikič-Topić and Mr. Zoren Korecic on the 17th February. The Croatian Dragon Brothers Society is a cultural association founded in Zagreb nearly 120 years ago (in 1905) with the purpose of preserving and restoring Croatian cultural and historical heritage, reviving the memory of events from Croatia’s past and notable Croatians.
An event to felicitate the winners in Croatia of the 5th Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz, which took place from 11th November to 11th December 2024, was organized on 13 February 2025.
The Embassy of India, Zagreb held an event in connection with the celebration of the Hindi Diwas & विश्व हिन्दी दिवस 2025 in association with the Indology department and ICCR Hindi chair at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb on 13 February 2025.
Ambassador Arun Goel was received by the Headmaster of Naive Art Museum Mrs. Nataša Jovičić. The Croatian Museum of Naïve Art was the first museum in the world to be devoted to this kind of art. It was founded in 1952, after the first generation of self-taught Croatian naïve artists had made their reputations and started to achieve important successes.
Ambassador Arun Goel visited the Croatian Museum of Natural History (Founded in 1846), a central national institution that collects, professionally and scientifically processes and presents its holdings, which testify to the development of nature and man in the Croatian region. Ambassador Goel familiarised the representatives of the Museum with the latest Technological developments in India.
Ambassador Arun Goel was received by the Director of the Technical Museum Nikola Tesla Mrs. Markita Franulić. The specialized museum of technology has also a showroom dedicated to the invention of Nikola Tesla, who in 1893, met Swami Vivekananda, and found inspiration for energy concepts in Eastern philosophy. Swami Vivekananda mentioned how the scientific mind of Nikola Tesla learnt from Vedanta and how the connection between spirituality and science resonated with the potential to transform humanity.

1st April - Ambassador Arun Goel, met with the Đakovo mayor and parliamentarian Marin Mandarić and his associates in the small town hall. In a cordial conversation, the Indian diplomat spoke with great enthusiasm about the culture, heritage and natural beauties of Croatia, and about Slavonia, the central part of which is Đakovo and the Đakovo region, he said that it reminded him of a very similar region in his country from which he comes.

The cordial conversation also covered the economy and other spheres of life, and the Indian Ambassador Goel was particularly interested in agriculture, as well as Indian workers in the Republic of Croatia, especially in this region. He was informed that they also work in Đakovo and the surrounding area, in construction and agriculture. The host Mandarić introduced him, among other things, to the Đakovo embroidery event, which also featured a folklore group from India last year. It is about the Rang Folklore Foundation, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
