The Embassy of India in Zagreb hosted ITEC Day 2025 on March 12, 2024, at Taste of India, bringing together diplomats, government officials, and professionals to celebrate the strong partnership between India and Croatia under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation - ITEC program.
The event was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Arun Goel, Ambassador of India, as well as H.E. Mr.
Zvonimir Troskot and H.E. Mr. Krešimir Čabaj, Members of the Croatian Parliament. Also in attendance was Ms. Dunja Sičaja, Director for Eurasia and Oceania at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, emphasizing Croatia’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with India.
The evening commenced with a welcome address and introduction to ITEC by the Head of Chancery, Mr. Chander Mohan, who highlighted the significance of the program in strengthening global partnerships through knowledge-sharing and training.
The event also featured inspiring speeches from ITEC alumni, who shared their experiences and the impact of their training in India:
Ms. Vesna Lipavić, Auditor at the Croatian State Audit Office, spoke about her participation in the "Use of Data Analytics and Emerging Technologies in Audit" course at the International Centre for Information Systems and Audit, from February 5 to February 28, 2025.
Ms. Jelena Hodak, also an Auditor at the Croatian State Audit Office, shared her insights from the same course, highlighting how the training enriched her professional expertise.
Mr. Stjepan Mandić, Director at Concepto d.o.o., Consultant at the World Bank, and Expert at the European Commission, reflected on his experience in the "Project and Risk Management for Public Works" course at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, held from February 12 to February 25, 2025.
The event concluded with engaging discussions, cultural exchanges, and a delightful selection of Indian cuisine, reinforcing the spirit of friendship and cooperation between India and Croatia.
