Prime Minister of Croatia H.E. Mr. Andrej Plenković received the Ambassador of India to Croatia, H.E. Mr. Arun Goel, on the 17th of January 2025, During the meeting were exchanged the common intention to further strengthen bilateral relations between Croatia and India, especially in economic cooperation and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Arun Goel was welcomed by the Mayor of Marija Bistrica Municipality Josip Milički, the Director of the Marija Bistrica Municipality Tourist Board Marija Klenkar, and the President of the Committee for Coordination of Committees at the Municipal Council of Marija Bistrica Municipality Veljko Mahmet.
The town of Ludbreg hosted Ambassador Arun Goel on the 14th of January, as part of an official visit that further strengthened ties between India and Croatia and emphasized the importance of Ludbreg as an economic, cultural and historical centre.
As part of his official visit, the Indian Ambassador visited the office of the Varaždin Tourist Board, where he was briefly introduced to the destination of Varaždin as an attractive tourist destination. Head of Destination Product Development at the Varaždin Tourist Board, Smiljana Mlakar, highlighted the rich cultural and historical heritage of Croatia's first UNESCO City of Music and the diverse range of events that attract visitors from all over Croatia and abroad
During Ambassador Arun Goel's visit to Varaždin, he also the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, one of the leading educational institutions in Croatia, and a meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sc. Marina Klačmer Čalopa , the Vice-Dean for Science, Projects and International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Martina Tomičić Furjan, and the Head of the International Cooperation Office, Izabela Oletić Tušek, to discuss the possibilities and expansion of cooperation between the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and the Indian Embassy in Croatia. The meeting discussed the possibilities of joining other Indian universities and initiating new forms of cooperation, emphasizing the great interest of Indian students in Croatia, according to the ambassador. The ambassador offered support in these steps and suggested the inclusion of FOI employees in specialized programs in India, which would enable them to gain valuable knowledge and experience
During his visit to Varaždin County, Ambassador Arun Goel visited the Dvorac Trakoscan, one of the most attractive castles in Croatia from the 13th Century, and met with the Director of the castle and Friend of India Mrs. Goranka Horjan.

Ambassador Arun Goel met on the 17th December the Zagreb City Museum Headmaster Mrs. Aleksandra Berberih Slana. The Zagreb City Museum is a general cultural and historical important city museum that systematically collects and processes objects from the city's past.
Vice President of the Committee for the Economy Ivica Lukanović received on the 11th December Ambassador Arun Goel, with whom he discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries, primarily in the areas of economy, tourism and culture.
Ambassador Arun Goel visited the Muzej-Museo Lapidarium in the City of Novigrad on the 1st of December and met with Ms. Jerica Ziherl, Director of the Museum Lapidarium, where recently the 3-month-long celebration "Indian Summer in Istria" took place. The ambassador was pleased to see the increasing cultural connections between India and Croatia in general and with Novigrad in particular.
Ambassador Arun Goel was received by Morena Smoljan Makragić, Director of Tourism Office Vodnjan-Dignano: Grad priča - Città da raccontare, while visiting Olive growers from the Oleum Maris company who won several gold medals for the varietal oils. Mayor of the City of Pula, Filip Zoričić hosted a reception in the Communal Palace for Ambassador Arun Goel on Friday, 29th November. In the continuation of the meeting, both officials also discussed the possibilities of future cooperation in the field of culture and ways of exchanging experiences and examples of good practice in areas of mutual interest. After the reception, Ambassador Goel met with the Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Pula, Sanja Cinkopan Korotaj, after which, he visited the Roman amphitheatre, built over 2000 years ago, and other historical sights of Pula.

Ambassador Arun Goel and Mission officials read out the Preamble of the Constitution of India during the celebrations of the Constitution Day on the 26th November & reaffirmed the commitment to uphold the ideals of Justice, Liberty, Equality & Fraternity.
Ambassador Arun Goel met with Mrs. Iva Bencun, Director of the Zadar City Tourist Board and discussed a wide range of topics, including the annual gathering during the IDY celebration at the Monument to the Sun, in Zadar. The Ambassador also contributed to the Tourist Board a Traditional Indian scarf.
On Friday, November 22, 2024, H.E. Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie received Ambassador Arun Goel, on his inaugural visit. During the visit to the RACVIAC headquarters in Rakitje Ambassador Goel became more familiar with the Organization’s operations and personnel. Ambassador Goel thanked RACVIAC-Centre for Security Cooperation for its contributions and praised the Organization’s efforts to strengthen resilience and promote efficient security cooperation among South East European countries
