The town of Ludbreg hosted Ambassador Arun Goel on the 14th of January, as part of an official visit that further strengthened ties between India and Croatia and emphasized the importance of Ludbreg as an economic, cultural and historical centre.

The visit began with a meeting at the Mayor's Office. The Ambassador was welcomed by the Mayor of Ludbreg, Dubravko Bilić, the President of the City Council, Darko Jagić, the Head of the Administrative Department for Development Projects, Social Activities and Local Self-Government, Erina Stančin, and the representative of the Yoga Association "Ayana", Ivana Krobot. Mayor Dubravko Bilić said on that occasion: "It is a special honour for me to host H.E. Mr. Goel in Ludbreg, a city that combines historical heritage and modern development. This visit is an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish new forms of cooperation, especially in the economic and cultural fields, although Ludbreg and India have been connected in economic terms for years."After the meeting, the Ambassador, accompanied by his host, toured the center of Ludbreg and visited the Archaeological Park. The head of the Ludbreg City Museum, Jelena Koprek, presented him with the rich history and archaeological heritage that makes Ludbreg unique. The visit continued with a tour of ACG Europe doo, a leading Indian company headquartered in Ludbreg, which is part of a global pharmaceutical group. Director Matko Vukušić introduced the Ambassador to the company's operations, its innovative solutions and contribution to the local economy, and then took him through the production facilities. Ambassador Goel expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and praised the potential for further cooperation: "I am delighted with Ludbreg, its history, culture and dynamic economic community. As an Indian company, ACG Europe is an important bridge between our countries, and I see a lot of room for further strengthening relations and new joint projects."
