India in Croatia (Embassy of India, Zagreb) along with the Indology Department of Sveučilište u Zagrebu hosted the #HindiDiwas2023 हिंदी दिवस & #SanskritDiwas संस्कृत दिवस celebrations in Zagreb. Ambassador Srivastava acknowledged the rich and old tradition of Hindi & Sanskrit in the Croatian education system. As a symbol of friendship, he presented his Hindi translation of the poem "Slon Siroće" by the former Ambassador of Croatia to India Mr Drago Štambuk. He also compared deep-meaning words in Sanskrit & Croatia, evidences of ancient connections of this land with Bharat . The presence of ICCR’s Hindi and Sanskrit Chair in Zagreb showcases Croatia's interest and ICCR’s support to Indian culture, language and knowledge here. The program included speeches by Amb Raj Srivastava, Head of Indology Department Prof Ivan Andrijanic, 5th Hindi Chair Prof Meenu Krishna and 1st Sanskrit Chair Prof C B Jha and Swami Vivek Puri from Yoga in Daily Life.
